Josh has been optimizing websites for search since the original dot-com boom when he was an in-house SEO for a prominent Bay Area SaaS startup.
He leads our optimization efforts, provides SEO consulting and project management and assists with managing a group of his own websites.

What education or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received a BBA in Business Management from Boise State and have over 20 years of industry experience that originates in the Bay Area. Before founding Jtree, I worked as an in-house SEO and freelance consultant for over 30 companies.
How did you get started in the SEO industry?
During the early 2000s, I was fortunate to be hired by a SaaS startup in San Francisco where I was an in-house SEO that optimized content for partners that included Oracle and AOL.
What types of clients have you worked with?
I have worked with companies in multiple industries and locations. From SaaS and ecommerce to local businesses, travel/tourism and startups. I’ve also assisted several agencies with white-label SEO. Since 2009, I’ve worked directly with over 200 big brands and small businesses.
What differentiates you from other SEOs?
I’ve designed, built, hosted, optimized and managed websites for over 20 years on multiple platforms. I currently help operate a group of revenue-generating websites that receive thousands of visitors each month primarily from organic search results.
